Classed as one of the most important and popular performers in the history of Brazilian pop, Marcos Valle, the headline act for this year’s Brazilica Festival comes to Liverpool one night only next week.

The world renowned Brazilian singer, instrumentalist, songwriter and record producer is coming to the UK to perform at The Kazimier in Liverpool on MARCOS VALLEWednesday 24 June, ahead of his appearance at Glastonbury Festival, Glasgow Jazz Festival and London’s Ronnie Scotts.

This is the first of a wide selection of Brazilica fringe events taking place at venues across the city on the weeks building up to the main Carnival weekend which takes over the streets of Liverpool from Friday 17 – Sunday 19 July.

The multi-talented artist has produced over 300 songs spanning across bossa nova, samba and fusions of jazz, soul and dance genres, for artists all over the world including Elis Regina, Tim Maia, Roberto Carlos, Chicago, Sarah Vaughn and Dizzy Gillespie.

During the 90’s in Europe, US and Japan his work was remixed by DJ’s creating a whole new dance floor genre. Having accrued a huge following since his arrival on the music scene, Marcos has had over 20 widely successful albums including Escape and Contrasts and has toured extensively across the globe.

With his huge collection of hits and world renowned status as one of Brazil’s finest exports, this is set to be an incredible performance not to be missed, and a fantastic performance to launch Brazilica 2015.
