Following across-the-board rave reviews and a number 12 UK album chart entry for his album Mahashmashana in November 2024, Father John Misty has announced news of many more live dates for 2025 – including a hugely anticipated Liverpool visit on Friday 27th June.

Following on from his sublime April UK tour, Father John Misty returns for a run of new dates in the summer. Liverpool Olympia hosts the forthcoming evening, with support from special guest Loren Kramar. This promises to be a wonderful show in the city with one of the world’s most eminent performers, featuring his latest mesmerising album which is a fusion of soaring ballads and introspective, up-tempo numbers.

Mahashmashana features eight songs across 50 minutes and includes the singles “I Guess Time Makes Fools of Us All,” “She Cleans Up,” “Screamland,” and “Josh Tillman and The Accidental Dose.” The latter two were mixed by BJ Burton.

Father John Misty’s previous album was the universally acclaimed Chloë and The Next 20th Century which entered the UK album chart at Number 2 back in April 2022. “Stunningly melodic” said The Guardian, making it their Album of the Week, while Uncut hailed it as “another multi-faceted triumph” in an 8/10 lead review. Father John Misty went on to play a sold-out show at Hammersmith Apollo in early 2023 before returning just a couple of months later to perform the songs of Scott Walker at the Barbican accompanied by Jules Buckley and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. During the Summer he returned to London to perform in Hyde Park as special guest to Lana Del Ray.
